Contemplator’s Folk Music Site is for folk music of England, Scotland, Ireland Wales and America and has a section particularly focused on TurLough O’Carolan. Here’s the link:

Dulcimer Players New is a Web presence and a quarterly magazine with worthwhile articles, lists of festivals, connections to instruction, and advertisements for all things both hammered and mountain dulcimer. It is well worth subscribing to to find out about who builds and plays dulcimers and the stories.

Quarantune or Virtual Dulcimer Festival is a world-wide organization of most of the people who love the hammered and mountain dulcimer. This was to fill a need that spring up because of the pandemic but I suspect it will continue into the future. The next one is June 1-4 and registration is open now! (as of 5/23/2023)

EverythingDulcimer is a site that contains a lot of information about mountain and hammered dulcimers. Songs, tutorials, jam locations, builders, history. The site is still under development, but is expanding rapidly. Take a look at the latest news below.

The Kitchen Musician (site not loading properly as of 11/14/22) has a collection of hammered dulcimer, living history, Scottish fiddle & traditional music. It has an interesting humor section.

Hammered Dulcimer Players on Facebook is a resource to hear about what’s happening, what people are playing, gadgets we use, posting of instruments for sale, sharing music, Etc.
